Performance Issues

Some players have reported performance outside of the expected FPS range for their hardware and system. While the team is continuing to investigate what could be happening in these cases and work on further optimizations, we do ask that players try the following:

 

Turn Off Dynamic Portrait

  • Go to the settings Menu
  • Select the "Graphics" option from the top menu bar
  • Scroll down until you find the "Portrait Animation" setting, and deselect the check box next to it
  • Hit Done at the bottom

 

Toggle between Windowed and Full Screen Mode

  • Hit the combined keys at the same time: "Alt+Enter"
  • This will change the game from full screen to windowed or from windowed to full screen depending on what it was prior
  • Hit the combination "Alt+Enter" again to switch back

 

Try the DirectX 12 Renderer

  • Go to the settings Menu
  • Select the "Graphics" option from the top menu bar
  • Scroll down until you find the "DirectX 12 Enabled" label and turn on the checkbox next to it.
  • Hit Done at the bottom
  • You will need to restart the game for this to take effect

Latency

  • Long matchmaking times or difficulties finding a match:
    • Under general, go to the 'Matchmaking Server Region' drop-down and change to either best latency or worldwide. Our team continues to monitor servers for any additional fixes.

Matchmaking

(Game is stuck loading (Can't connect to matchmaking server)

  • Please check to see if a pre-installed Intel-based app called 'Killer Network Services' is active, if so try disabling or uninstalling it as it can interfere with some games' networking.
